Change is a continuous process that needs active management and monitoring. While it is difficult to say where does organisational change start and stop (after all, people transition trough their individual change curves at different pace), it is important that you know how to use the right management tools at the right time.

Start with the Change Readiness Assessment, when the project is in the start-up stage as this will give you a view if you are ready to consider (more) change. After that, draft your Change Management Plan, which outlines the approach for change, and should include the Impact Assessment and how the ADKAR model will be utilised. As the project progresses, re-evaluate your ADKAR position at each stage gate as well as where people are in their change curves – one tool feeds and shapes the other. Finally, remember to use the Process Checklist to guide you through each of these steps!
